Supramolecular Self-Assembly of the Zwitterionic Sn(IV)-Porphyrin Complex

چکیده

[Sn(OSO3)2(TPyHP)](HSO4)2∙8H2O (1), an ionic Sn(IV)-porphyrin complex, was prepared by reacting [Sn(OH2)2TPyP] with dilute sulfuric acid. X-ray structural analysis revealed that the zwitterionic [Sn(OSO3)2TPyHP]2+ species consists of two anionic axial Sn–O–SO3 units and four peripheral pyridinium moieties, overall dicationic charge balanced hydrogen sulfate (HSO4−) counter-anions. Ionic bonding between oxygen atoms sulfato ligands groups adjacent cations led to formation a 1D channel filled counter-anions water molecules. The supramolecular self-assembly 1 further characterized using various spectroscopic techniques, including 1H NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, ESI-mass spectrometry, UV-vis fluorescence FT-IR thermogravimetric (TGA), powder diffractometry. complex is structurally well-defined complementary scaffold involved in self-assembly. This novel class ion-assembled metalloporphyrin potential functional porphyrin material used ion exchange applications.

Zwitterionic supramolecular nanoparticles: self-assembly and responsive properties.

Supramolecular nanoparticles (SNPs) are of high interest in both nanoscience and molecular diagnostics and therapeutics, because of their reversible and designable properties. To ensure colloidal stabilization and biocompatibility, most reported strategies require the use of hydrophilic long-chain polymers such as poly(ethylene glycol). Here, we show the formation of zwitterionic supramolecular...

Size of supramolecular SNARE complex: membrane-directed self-assembly.

Full length v-SNARE protein in lipid vesicles when exposed to t-SNARE-reconstituted lipid membrane results in the self-assembly of a t-/v-SNARE complex in a ring pattern, forming pores, and establishing continuity between the opposing bilayers. It is known that smaller vesicles fuse more efficiently than larger ones, and hence the curvature of secretory vesicles may dictate the potency and effi...

Shuttle-like supramolecular nanostructures formed by self-assembly of a porphyrin via an oil/water system

In this paper, in terms of the concentration of an aqueous solution of a surfactant, we investigate the self-assembly behavior of a porphyrin, 5, 10, 15, 20-tetra(4-pyridyl)-21H, 23H-porphine [H2TPyP], by using an oil/water system as the medium. We find that when a chloroform solution of H2TPyP is dropwise added into an aqueous solution of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide [CTAB] with a lower conc...

Solvent dependent supramolecular self-assembly and surface reversal of a modified porphyrin.

In this paper, a novel core-modified porphyrin with meso-aryl substituents and phenanthrene-fused pyrrole rings (N2S2-OR) is synthesized. Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) has been used to probe its self-assembly behavior on a highly-oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) surface. Our STM results have shown that there is an obvious solvent-dependent self-assembly for the surface-confined target m...

Supramolecular Chemistry and Self-assembly

Molecules in the liquid crystalline (LC) state, although still mobile, have an orientational ordering that depends on external conditions, such as temperature or electric fields (1, 2). The best known example would be the thermotropic LC materials, which exhibit different phases as a function of temperature, that are used in displays (3). In contrast to these high-tech materials, biological sel...
